About Judy Allen
Judy Allen is a genealogical speaker with over 40 years of experience in family history. She grew up in Texas attending family reunions and
learning about her heritage.
She enjoys sharing her love of genealogy with others. As a researcher and lecturer Judy enjoys working with genealogical groups.
She was president of Mid-Cities Genealogical Society and District #11 Representative of the Texas State Genealogical Society. In 2006 Judy was the Conference Chair for the Texas State Genealogical Society Conference held in Fort Worth, Texas. In 2012 she was the Vendor/Venue Chair for the State Conference again held in Fort Worth.
Judy has also been active in preserving her family cemetery in Tarrant County, Texas. She worked to have the cemetery declared a Historic State Cemetery in 2001. She also co-ordinated the program for the 125th Anniversary Reunion in 2005. Judy is the President of the Historic Allen Cemetery Association.
Judy has spoken at numerous genealogical societies and workshops
throughout Texas. She has also spoken at Regional in Depth Genealogical Studies Alliance (RIGSA) at the National Archives in Fort Worth, Texas.
